Snowmaking at Killington.

November has made a nice and chilly entrance here in Vermont so a few resorts fired up snowmaking this weekend (Stowe, Okemo, Sugarbush, Killington...). Mother Nature did her part by bringing some light snow accumulation to our higher peaks. Above are a couple of photos to check out.

Looks like the ski season will start with very limited skiing at Killington on Monday for pass holders and on Tuesday for everyone else. Killington plans to open 600 vertical feet of skiing on its upper mountain. To access the advanced skiing, you'd ride up the K-1 Gondola and walk across the Peak Walkway. Skiers and riders will download the K-1 Gondola to get back to the base.

Thank goodness the snow is back!

Thanks to a rather long-duration storm, some of Vermont's higher elevations saw 2 feet of snow through Monday. This was a very welcome development! The first wave of snow was heavy and wet, while the…
