A spring skiing day in every sense of the word

— Sugarbush, Spring skiing, Alpine / downhill skiing

My friend took the day off to score a $17 ticket at Mt. Ellen at Sugarbush. (It was a pre-St. Patrick’s Day deal). It would have been rude of me to let her go alone, so I joined her despite a dismal forecast.

We skied in occasional rain in clear, plastic ponchos (thanks for donating them to us, Sugarbush customer service!) and we had a ball. We did a lot of bumps. They were super-soft, corn snow bumps. And the snow coverage on the trails that were open was quite good considering recent warm temperatures.

And the best news is: We have sunshine in store for the next few days! So this weekend I'll be sure to get a sunny dose of Vermont spring skiing.

Get out and ski while you can! The temperatures are just going to keep rising!
