More than a foot of new snow in Vermont — and more falling

Well the winter storm warning has delivered. Several Vermont ski resorts from Okemo to Jay Peak are reporting a foot or more of new snow this morning. And it continues to snow today. Yippee!Beaucoup de la neige

    I'm looking at a NWS snowfall forecast for 14 to 22 inches around the state of Vermont by 1 a.m. on Thursday. Some of the resorts are already reporting two feet up on their summits. Nice!

    Bolton Valley's 4 PM Update:

    The snow started yesterday afternoon and has not let up. We've picked up 25"-30" since it started snowing yesterday and it is still coming down. ...
    Due to the power coming in and out throughout the day we have decided to close at 4pm today instead of 8pm. We'd rather not deal with spotty power in the dark. We'll open back up tomorrow for skiing and riding at 9am and plan to offer night skiing until 8pm. ...
