Warm up on tap for Friday through Monday

— Cross-country skiing, Alpine / downhill skiing

As luck would have it, after compiling a nice depth of powdery snow over the last couple of weeks, we are now in a warming pattern. Call it a January Thaw if you'd like.

The Skimeister and I took a quick cross-country ski today to get some exercise in the bright sunshine. Here in the Champlain Valley the sun was warm and the snow was soft.

Friday or Sunday may provide unpleasant precipitation; it may be warm enough for rain up in the hills. Aargh. But hopefully it clears up enough so we can enjoy some “spring skiing” without anything coming out of the sky!

We'll be out there this weekend — wearing light layers and who knows, maybe we'll need our sunglasses! One can only hope!
