When do Vermont ski resorts open for the 2010 – 2011 season?

It's that time of year: Vermont ski resorts are planning their opening days and making snow to make those opening dates a reality,

Bring on the ski season!

Here's a review of opening dates for skiing at Vermont ski resorts. This information was gathered from the resort Web sites. Northern Vermont ski resorts opening dates 2010

Bolton Valley – Plans to open December 10

Burke Mountain – Plans to open December 11

Cochran's Ski Area – Plans to open December 18

Jay Peak – Opened November 26

Mad River Glen – To be determined

Smugglers' Notch – Opened November 27

Stowe Mountain – Opened November 24

Sugarbush – Opened November 25

Central Vermont ski areas opening days 2010

Bear Creek Mountain – Information unavailable

Killington – Opened November 2

Middlebury Snow Bowl – Information unavailable

Northeast Sloes – Plans to open December 27

Pico Mountain – Plans to open December 17

Suicide Six – Plans to open December 17

Southern Vermont ski resorts opening days 2010

Bromley Mountain – Plans to open December 4

Magic Mountain – Plans to open December 18

Mount Snow – Opened November 25

Okemo Mountain – Opened November 23

Stratton Mountain – Opened November 26

These dates, of course, depend on cold temperatures so that the ski areas can make snow of their trails and maintain the snow that they make.

    Your opening dates for resorts seem similar to the French ones. Just had out first real dump of snow over here in Europe so looking good.
