Spring skiing in Vermont. Got sunscreen?

Sun and spring snow in northern Vermont.

I met up with a couple ski buddies at Smugglers' Notch on Friday for an afternoon of sun and snow and smiles. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, there really is a lot of snow up in the mountains in northern Vermont! (I believe there are over 90 inches of snow at the stake atop Mt. Mansfield, for example.)

We like skiing in the glades so we hit up several of them including Shakedown and Bermuda. We only had to avoid an occasional stump or rock. It really is amazing for April.

Get out there before really warm temperatures threaten the snowpack. Oh, and bring your sunscreen!
