It’s that time of year again. Leaves are starting to turn to splendid colors. Skiing magazines are crowding our mailboxes. Resorts are touting early-bird pricing on season passes. It’s time to start thinking about skiing and riding and what gear you will need this year!

Here’s our annual compilation of benefit ski swaps held in the state of Vermont. THIS LIST GETS UPDATED AS DETAILS BECOME AVAILABLE.

2014 Ski Swaps in Vermont

September 27                          

South Burlington Rebel Boosters Ski Swap
So. Burlington High School
Sale is on Saturday, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Consignment drop-off is Friday, 5 - 8 p.m. at the high school. 

October 3 - 5

Pico Ski Club Ski & Snowboard Swap and Sale
Pico Mountain Base Lodge, Mendon, Vermont
Sale is Friday  from 5 - 9 p.m.; Saturday from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.; and Sunday from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Consignments accepted September 27 from 3 - 5 p.m. (Pico Retail Shop); September 28 from 10 a.m. - Noon (Pico Retail Shop); October 1 from 4 - 6 p.m. (Pico Retail Shop); October 2 from 4 - 6 p.m. (Pico Base Lodge – Sunshine Room); and October 3 from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. (Pico Base Lodge – Sunshine Room).

October 4 & 5

Colchester Ski/Skate Sale
Colchester High School
Sale is Saturday from 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Drop off equipment on Friday from 5 - 8 p.m.

October 10 - 12

Killington Ski & Snowboard Club Ski Swap
Snowshed Base Lodge, Killington
Sale is Friday, 5 - 9 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.; and Sunday, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Consignment drop-off at Snowshed Ski Shop is October 4 - 9, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m; October 10, 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.; and October 11, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

October 11 & 12

Smugglers Notch Ski & Snowboard Club Sale
Tarrant Center, St. Michael's College, Winooski/Colchester
Sale hours are Saturday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Drop-off for consignment is 4 - 8 pm. on Friday.

October 18

Dartmouth Ski Team Ski Swap
Collins Center, Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH
Sale hours are Saturday from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Drop-off for consignment is Friday from 4 - 7 p.m.

October 25

Montpelier Rec Department Ski & Skate Sale
Montpelier High School
Sale is Saturday from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Drop off items on Thursday from 4 - 7 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. 

November 1

MUHS Ski Team Ski Sale
Middlebury Union High School, Middlebury
Sale is Saturday from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.
No consignments accepted from public.

November 2

Burke Town School Ski Swap
Burke Town School, West Burke
Swap is Sunday from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Drop off equipment to sell on Saturday from 4 - 7 p.m. 

November 8

Brattleboro Recreation Department Ski & Skate Sale
Gibson Aiken Center, 207 Main Street, Brattleboro
Sale is Saturday from 8 - 11 a.m. 
Equipment drop-off is Friday from 12 - 7 p.m.

Rotary Winter Sports Sale
Twin Valley Elementary School, Wilmington
Sale is Saturday from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Consignment drop-off is Friday from 4 - 7 p.m. 

November 8 & 9

Cochran's Ski Sale
Camel's Hump School, Richmond
Sale is Saturday, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., and Sunday, 10 a.m.- 2 p.m.
Consignment drop-off is Friday, 6 - 8:30 p.m.

November 15 & 16

Waitsfield Ski & Skate Sale
Waitsfield Elementary School
Sale is Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Consignment registration and drop-off is Friday 4 - 7 p.m.

November 21 & 22

Middlebury College Ski Patrol Winter Sports Sale
Sale is Friday, 4 - 8 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m., in the Crest Room in McCullough Student Center, Middlebury College, Middlebury, Vt.
No consignments are accepted for this ski sale.

November 21 - 23

Okemo Ski and Snowboard Swap
Main Base Lodge, Okemo Mountain
Sale is Friday from 4 - 7 p.m. (also open 3 - 4 p.m. for a fee); Saturday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.; and Sunday from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Drop off equipment at Sitting Bull Restaurant, Main Base of Okemo Mountain near First Aid Building, on November 15 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.; November 16 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.; and November 19 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

November 22 & 23

Cambridge Area Rotary Ski & Ride Swap
Cambridge Elementary School, Jeffersonville, Vermont
Sale is Saturday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., and Sunday, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Drop off gear to sell on Friday from 6 - 8 p.m.

November 22 & 23

VTXC Ski Swap (Nordic gear)
Trapp Family Lodge Outdoor Center, Stowe
Equipment drop-off: Friday, 4 - 7 p.m. and Saturday morning
Sale is Saturday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

November 28 & 29

Stratton Mountain School Ski Sale
SMS gym, 7 World Cup Circle, Stratton, Vt.
Sale is Friday from 3 - 7 p.m. (fee for adults at this time) and Saturday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Consignment drop-off is Friday from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

December 6

Northeast Slopes Ski Swap
Lodge at Northeast Slopes, East Corinth, Vermont
Sale is Saturday from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Donated items may be left behind the lodge on Friday or early Saturday.
