A truly white Christmas

— Mad River Glen, Alpine / downhill skiing

We've had snow in Vermont — and some ski areas are reporting up to eight inches over last night alone. It's going to be a white Christmas.

Mad River Glen opens tomorrow with the help of the snowfall this week. MRG skiers will be chomping at the bit to get on the single chair.

I'm hitting the slopes somewhere on Friday. In northern Vermont we're expecting partly sunny/partly cloudy weather. I think I'll take my alpine gear and set their sensors to seek out powdery stashes. I'll be sure to share pictures and a recap with you.
