New snow and skiing deals in Vermont

Posted Friday, December 17, 2010
— Alpine / downhill skiing, Ticket discounts, Burke, Mad River Glen, Cochran's, Pico, Magic, Middlebury Snow Bowl, Saskadena Six (formerly Suicide Six)

Have you seen our <link post vermont-lift-ticket-discounts-skiing-deals-in-2010-2011-for-vermont-residents-and-our-friends-eve external-link-new-window lift ticket>list of Vermont lift ticket deals? If you are heading to the slopes in the next few days (and you really should), you may want to check it out. You can find a deal as low as $15 during the midweek days leading up to Christmas!

We can now welcome Burke Mountain, Cochran's, Middlebury Snow Bowl, Pico Mountain, Suicide Six and Magic Mountain to the list of Vermont's ski areas that are open for business. So many choices. Mad River Glen is still looking for a bit more of a base on the bottom part of its trails before they start the lifts. They go mostly "au naturale."

I've been hearing many ski resorts talk about fluffy snowfall throughout the past week. A few resorts even said they scored as much as 8 - 10 inches last night!

I think I'll get up and personal with this fluffy snow. I'm going to break out my telemark gear for the first time this season. I'll let you know where I go and how it is!
