Booths are full at the Toronto Ski Show

Well hunting season is upon us here in Vermont (wear that orange out in the woods!), but it's also ski show season in the cities of the Northeast.

Ski Vermont reports that they'll be at the Boston Globe Ski & Snowboard Expo at the Bayside Expo Center, November 15-18. Check this site for a <link http: www.onthesnow.com bewi boston external-link-new-window>coupon for the show. I've both attended and worked at ski shows. If you are in the city, it's not a bad way to get a quick idea of new offerings at resorts.

But be sure to go up and talk to the folks—don't just grab the catalogs. The people in the booths are "locals" in their respective ski towns so be sure to ask for the best places to ride, eat and do aprés. Things change from year to year, so you need to snoop around for the inside scoop!

For those of you in Phillie, buy tickets online to the Philadelphia Inquirer/Daily News Travel Show, on November 17 &18, and <link http: www.phillytravelshow.com home.aspx external-link-new-window>save $3.

Here's a shot from the Toronto Ski Show, eh.
