Vermont skiers make tracks on US Ski Team as we head toward Winter Olympics

The US Ski Team has announced some of its rosters for the coming ski season, and as you may expect, they include Vermonters and our neighbors nearby. Many of these skiers are poised to be named to the roster for the upcoming Winter Olympics in Vancouver. The Olympic team will be named in January.

2010 U.S. Cross Country Ski Team

World Championship silver medalist Kikkan Randall (Anchorage, AK), along with World Cup sprint medalist Andy Newell (Shaftsbury, Vermont), Kris Freeman (Andover, NH) and three-time U.S. champion Liz Stephen (East Montelier, Vermont) are among the athletes headlining the newly named 2010 U.S. Cross Country Ski Team.

The 2010 Nordic Combined Ski Team includes Billy Demong (3/29/80; Vermontville, NY; Lake Placid Ski Club/Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club). Demong performed really well last season. Let's hope he continues his winning ways.
