The Women's World Cup is coming to Vermont this weekend. The best slalom and giant slalom skiers in the world will hit the Superstar trail at Killington, Vermont.

Friday night kicks things off with a free concert, athletes getting their race bibs on stage, and fireworks. Last year it was estimated that 16,000 people gathered to watch the action on Saturday and 14,000 on Sunday.

On Saturday, November 25, the first run of the GS is at 10 a.m. The second at 1 p.m.

For Sunday, November 26, it's the same schedule for the slalom.

Last year's top finishers included phenom Mikaela Shiffrin. She went to Burke Mountain Academy in Vermont. She was excited to ski last year in front of her grandmother. And that was the slalom race she won!

Look for these names this coming weekend. They were the top finishers last year at Killington.

GS

  1. WORLEY Tessa
  2. LOESETH Nina
  3. GOGGIA Sofia
  4. BASSINO Marta
  5. SHIFFRIN Mikaela

Slalom

  1. SHIFFRIN Mikaela
  2. VELEZ ZUZULOVA Veronika
  3. HOLDENER Wendy
  4. LOESETH Nina
  5. VLHOVA Petra

In this season's first slalom race in Finland, the three on the podium were Vlhova, Shiffrin and Holdener.

At the first GS race in Austria, Viktoria Rebensburg, Worley, Manuela Moelgg and Stephanie Brunner all were faster than Shiffrin.

Now they'll face off again at Killington. Go, Mikaela!
